March Madness is returning to Cincinnati for the first time since 1992.
The NCAA announced Tuesday that U.S. Bank Arena will host first and second round games of the men's basketball tournament in March 2022. The last time the city hosted the first rounds of the tournament Bob Huggins was coaching the University of Cincinnati and the Bearcats went to the Final Four.
The decision will bring a national TV audience and tens of thousands of visitors to Cincinnati. It's also a big win for the much-maligned arena, which is more than 40 years old and in need of major upgrades.
