INDIANAPOLIS - Eight Xavier University athletics teams earned public recognition from the NCAA for posting Academic Progress Rates (APR) in the top-10 percent of their sport for the multiyear rate, ending with the 2017-18 academic year.
"Xavier has always placed an emphasis on excellence in the classroom as well as on the playing field, and the latest APR shows that dedication," said Greg Christopher, Xavier University's Vice President for Administration and Director of Athletics. "The public recognition of these teams is a credit to the efforts of our student-athletes, who continue to be committed to being leaders both on the field of play and in the classroom, as well as our coaches and academic staff.
