Former Xavier University star guard Edmond Sumner Tweeted on Wednesday that he's been cleared to make his NBA debut with the Indiana Pacers on Friday after missing the first half of his rookie season as he continues to recover from surgery to repair a torn ACL.
The Pacers are scheduled to play at Portland on Thursday night and visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, in Sumner's would-be debut.
Sumner was drafted in the second round in June of 2017 by the New Orleans Pelicans, then traded to the Pacers.
