Dwon Odom, one year after committing to Xavier basketball: 'I can't wait to play there'

The Xavier Musketeers returned to practice July 17 in preparation for next month's trip to Spain. Here's an early look at the roster Adam Baum, abaum@enquirer.com

One year ago today, Xavier University men's basketball coach Travis Steele made a big splash in the Musketeers' 2020 recruiting class when he received a verbal commitment from Dwon Odom, a four-star point guard from Alpharetta, Georgia.

Odom's the No. 44-ranked player in the country in 2020, according to 247Sports (No. 60 composite ranking), and since his commitment 12 months ago, the 6-foot-1 playmaker is still excited about what awaits at Xavier.
