St. John's transfer David Jones, who reportedly visited the Xavier Musketeers last week, announced Monday via Instagram that he committed to the Memphis Tigers.
Joe Tipton reported last month that Jones had heard from XU, Kentucky, Memphis, UConn and Arkansas since entering the portal. He announced his official visit to Memphis in an Instagram post.
The 6-foot-6 forward from the Dominican Republic played two seasons at DePaul before transferring to Big East rival St. John's. Last season for the Red Storm, he averaged 13.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.
