CINCINNATI ---- Xavier University ninth-year Head Coach Chris Mack was announced today as the 2018 BIG EAST Conference Coach of the Year as selected by the league coaches. The Sedler Family Men's Head Basketball Coach led the Musketeers to sole possession of its first BIG EAST Regular Season Championship with a 15-3 league record and a 27-4 overall mark.
This is not Mack's first conference coach of the year award. He was selected as the 2010-11 Atlantic 10 Conference Coach of the Year.
Mack, 48, is also a candidate for a number of national awards this season.
