NEW YORK - After collecting 14 hits in five games for Xavier baseball last week, senior Chris Givin was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced on Monday.
Givin batted .609 (14-for-23) with five runs scored, two doubles and a triple in a 1-4 week for Xavier. He added three RBI and led Xavier with 18 total bases. Givin went 6-for-7 with three runs scored in the 25-18 loss against Grand Canyon and had multiple hits in four of five games.
Chris Givin has reached base in all 18 games, with a 10-game hitting streak coming out of Xavier's spring break trip out west.
