NEW YORK - Junior shortstop Chris Givin was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, earning the recognition after hitting .429 (6-for-14) in a three-game week for the Musketeers.
The Castle Rock, Colo. native had a career-day on Saturday, going 5-for-5 with a double and a triple. For the week, Givin led XU with four runs scored.
In Friday's win, Givin was 1-for-5 with a run scored. He also walked and scored in Sunday's series finale.
Givin is second on the team this season with a .331 batting average and .
