For all its uncertainty, maybe sometimes life does have a plan.
Joe Sunderman and Byron Larkin never set out to become radio broadcasters.
But they took a chance on an unexpected opportunity, landed a second career they cherish calling Xavier University's men's basketball games, and discovered a priceless friendship along the way.
“It was sort of an opportunity that dropped out of the sky for me,” said Sunderman, who graduated from La Salle High School (1974) and played basketball for the Musketeers (1974-79).
