CINCINNATI - Xavier standouts Madeline Britton (cross country/track and field) and Mikayla Fitzpatrick (golf) were tabbed the most outstanding performers in their respective sports by the Cincinnati Women's Sports Association (CWSA) on Monday night. The annual awards banquet was hosted in the Schiff Banquet and Conference Center at Cintas Center.
Britton was named the 'Collegiate Player of the Year in Cross Country' as the senior runner wrapped up one of the most successful cross country careers in program history last fall. The two-time All-BIG EAST selection in cross country competed at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, becoming only the second runner to compete at the national championships in school history.
