Bob Huggins disparaged Xavier at luncheon Monday before using slur in 700 WLW interview

West Virginia Mountaineers head coach Bob Huggins made disparaging remarks about Xavier a short time before the 700 WLW interview Monday with Bill Cunningham in which he used a homophobic slur multiple times when referring to Xavier University fans.

Huggins, the Cincinnati Bearcats' head coach from 1989 to 2005, discussed Xavier at length during remarks he made in Canton to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Luncheon Club just before talking to Cunningham.

Huggins, who told reporters last December before WVU's loss to XU at Cintas Center that he doesn't "have any good thoughts of Xavier whatsoever," did not attend events he had been scheduled to attend Monday night and Tuesday night.
