West Virginia Mountaineers head coach Bob Huggins faced the Xavier Musketeers 16 times while he was head coach of the Cincinnati Bearcats from 1989 to 2005.
And Huggins visited Cintas Center last season with his WVU team, losing by 10 to the Musketeers in the Big East-Big 12 Battle.
As UC prepares to join WVU in the Big 12, Huggins, inducted last year into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, used a homophobic slur to refer to Xavier fans during an appearance on WLW-AM (700) with XU grad Bill Cunningham before apologizing via Twitter.
