NEW YORK - The BIG EAST announced its preseason volleyball awards and coaches' poll on Monday morning. The Musketeers were picked to finish sixth as voted on by conference head coaches.
The Musketeers return nine letterwinners from last year, including six upperclassmen. Xavier will have five seniors on the team this fall, including Laura Grossman who led the team in total kills (233) a year ago.
The Musketeers also return senior Meredith Klare who led the team and BIG EAST in digs per set (4.37) and total digs (520).
