As Xavier and DePaul play a game happening in the strangest of circumstances, the Big East has finally reached the same decision as the rest of college basketball and elected to play the rest of the tournament behind closed doors. Effective beginning tomorrow, the Big East tournament will be closed to the public.
This announcement came on the back of the NBA announcing that its season is suspended after play tonight. In surreal scenes in Oklahoma City the game was nearly underway when training staff sprinted on to the floor to consult with referees, who then sent the teams back to their locker rooms.
