Baseball Uses 11-Run Eighth to Take Game Two at St. John's

QUEENS, N.Y. - Xavier baseball used a big eighth inning to take control of game two at St. John's late, winning 12-3 to even the series at 1-1 with one game remaining.

The Red Storm took a two-run lead in the third and held on to the advantage going into the top of the eighth, with the Musketeers scoring just one run in the first seven innings. Xavier batted around in the eighth, bringing 16 batters to the plate and scoring 11 runs to take control of the game, 12-2, with an inning and half remaining.
