Xavier now heads to Michigan for Tuesday evening match-up
INDIANAPOLIS - An 18-hit day at the plate combined with a career-long outing on the mound from starter Jared Gadd fueled an 11-2 win in game three with Butler, giving the Musketeers the three-game sweep of the Bulldogs. Xavier is 25-23 overall and moved to 9-6 in conference play on the season, after its third BIG EAST series win of the season.
Xavier took the lead in the second inning after Tyler DeMartino led off the inning with a double and Jeff Holtz drove him in with a single to center field.
