SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Xavier baseball picked up a win in game three of the series against Wofford, opening up a Sunday double header with a 4-2 win in seven innings.
Xavier led off the first two innings with solo home runs, and a two-run homer in the fourth gave the Musketeers the cushion to take the win, despite Wofford runs in the second and sixth innings. allowed just one run in 4.1 innings in his first start to get the win, and came in to close out the game, picking up the save.
Xavier and Wofford play the series finale in game two of Sunday's double-header, a nine-inning outing.
