QUEENS, N.Y. - Xavier baseball dropped the final game of a weekend series at St. John's, 15-3, on Sunday at Jack Kaiser Stadium.
Xavier goes to 25-25 (7-6 BIG EAST) with a seventh straight loss, while St. John's completed a three-game sweep and improved to 37-18 (11-4 BIG EAST).
XU remains in third-place in the league standings with one series to go against Georgetown. The top four teams in the BIG EAST qualify for the BIG EAST Tournament, which will be held May 25-28 in Omaha, Neb.
• Xavier returns home for its final four regular season games, hosting crosstown rival Cincinnati on Tuesday at Hayden Field.
