CINCINNATI - Xavier closed out the Joe Nuxhall Classic with a 12-2 loss to Wright State at Marge Schott Stadium at UC on Wednesday afternoon. Xavier moved to 12-21 on the season and move back in to BIG EAST play this weekend at St. John's. Xavier stands at 3-0 in conference play so far this season.
Wright State took a one run lead in the first inning, and added three in the top of the third. Xavier cut into the advantage in the bottom of the frame, but another three run inning, in the eighth put the Raiders ahead six.
