NEW YORK - Xavier men's swimming senior Andrew Martin picked up the first BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week honor for the 2022-23 season after setting league-best times in three individual events for the first month of the season.
In the season opener, Martin helped Xavier to a team win, collecting a pair of individual event wins, taking first in the 1000 free (9:35.77), and the 500 free (4:37.76). He also helped Xavier win the 400 free relay.
Against Louisville, Martin set a time of 1:41.13 in the 200 free to lead Xavier and also led the Musketeers in the 500 free with a BIG EAST-best time of 4:32.
