NEW YORK - Senior Ali Fort was named the BIG EAST Female Athlete of the Week after posting the top time by a BIG EAST Competitor at the Toyota US Open last weekend.
Fort competed in the 100 back at the USA Swimming event, placing 98th in the preliminary heat with a time of 1:05.03. Fort qualified for the Winter Nationals after setting a time of 55.55 in the event at the CSU Magnus Cup, the second fastest time overall set by a BIG EAST competitor this season, and the fastest non-relay time.
