NEW YORK - Following a 2-0 weekend in the No. 1 doubles spot, Ahmeir Kyle and Emily Thomas were named the BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week, the league announced on Thursday.
Kyle, a graduate student from St. Joseph, Mich., and Thomas, a senior from Cincinnati, helped the Musketeers secure the doubles point against ETSU on Friday, earning a 6-3 win on the No. 1 court in a tightly contested 4-3 loss to the Bucs.
The pair then helped the Musketeers bounce back on Sunday, picking up the first decision in favor of Xavier on the way to taking the doubles point in the eventual 5-0 win over the Indiana Hoosiers.
