The transition from last season – Mel Moore's first as the women's basketball coach at Xavier University – to this season didn't quite go according to plan.
Nothing did, really.
The novel coronavirus pandemic saw to that.
But for everything the pandemic took away or altered, it also gave something to Moore and her Musketeers.
"A real sense of family," Moore said Thursday on a Zoom call as part of the Big East Conference's media day. "I think we can all throw that term out, but when you're on campus and you're in the middle of a pandemic, you realize that all we have day-to-day is each other.
