The University of Wyoming's Tessa van Der Ploeg was named the Mountain West Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday.
The sophomore from the Netherlands was 5-0 last week, winning singles matches against Creighton, North Dakota and Nebraska and teaming with doubles partner Elisa Koonik to win matches against Creighton and North Dakota.
Wyoming was 2-1 on the week, defeating both Creighton and North Dakota before losing to Nebraska.
The Cowgirls have their first home match of the season Saturday when they take on Montana State at the UW Indoor Tennis Courts.
