Wyoming's Mullin, Russi take first, second in conference three-meter dive

The University of Wyoming Cowboys swimming and diving team was in the lead at the Western Athletic Conference Championships after Wednesday's first day in Houston, Texas, thanks to a 1-2 finish from divers Scotia Mullin and Ryan Russi.

Mullin won the conference title in the three-meter dive, a first for his career, on a season-best score of 349.50. He took second in the three-meter last year before winning the one-meter and platform.

Russi's silver was the best finish of his career after a dive of 329.40. Freshman Eljiah Chan also qualified in the three-meter for the Cowboys and finished eighth.
