University of Wyoming junior John Murdock was honored Thursday as the Mountain West Men's Golfer of the Month.
The Laramie native began the season by winning the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational with a program-record 14-under 202 (over 54 holes) and leading the Cowboys to the team title.
He followed that with a runner-up finish at the Ram Masters Invitational with a 6-under 204 and tied for fifth at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational.
All nine of Murdock's rounds this season have been at or below par, and his scoring average of 68.33 is tied for 11th in the NCAA, according to Golfstat.
