The Wyoming Cowboys wrestling team defeated North Dakota State 27-13 Sunday after winning four of the first five matches.
The Cowboys (4-6, 2-4 Big 12) were coming off a 22-15 loss to South Dakota State on Saturday. Sunday's win was the third for UW in its past four dual meets.
Sophomore Bryce Meredith (141 pounds) won by a major decision, which was his 20th win of the season. Junior Cole Mendenhall (149) also earned bonus points for pinning his opponent in the following match.
The Cowboys will return to Laramie and compete again Saturday with a 7 p.
