Paced by Sam Turner's first-place finish, the University of Wyoming wrestling team placed fourth at the Reno Tournament of Champions on Thursday.
Competing at 141 pounds, Turner went 6-0 at the prestigious meet and was named the TOC Outstanding Wrestler. The sophomore defeated Michigan State's Austin Eicher 6-0 in the championship match.
The Cowboys also got runner-up finishes from Cale Davidson at 197 and Brian Andrews at heavyweight. Tate Samuelson, wrestling unattached, finished third at 184, Dewey Krueger fourth at 157 and Cole Verner (Green River) fifth at 125.
