The Wyoming wrestling team finished the two-day Southern Scuffle in 21st place on Saturday in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
In total, there were 28 teams.
The only Cowboy to win a match Saturday was junior Benjamin Stroh in the 174-pound consolation bracket. Stroh earned a pin at the 6:22 mark to advance to the quarterfinals, where he eventually lost to Central Michigan’s Christian Brucki.
Sophomore Bryce Meredith (141) lost in the quarterfinals to No. 11 Tommy Thorn of Minnesota, before losing another bout in the consolation bracket.
Another sophomore, Archie Colgan (157), was the only other Cowboy to compete in multiple matches.
