"Still burns a little bit, but kind of a good way at this point," Colgan said. "Throughout the summer, it kind of burned in a bad way. But now, at this point, it’s just more towards motivation, because the new season is here already and there’s nothing I can do about the last one."
Saturday, he begins a what he hopes is a senior season that puts him one step further. The Wyoming wrestling team begins the 2017-18 campaign by hosting more than 25 schools in the Cowboy Open at 9 a.m. in the War Memorial Fieldhouse.
"There’s only so much you can do in the practice room," head coach Mark Branch said, "and from a competitor’s standpoint, you want some fresh meat, and you want to see somebody different standing across from you, rather than your teammate.
