Fourteen members of the University of Wyoming wrestling team will compete as Cowboys and more will wrestle unattached in the Reno Tournament of Champions on Sunday. It is the 23rd annual meeting at what is referred to as the "Toughest Tournament in the USA".
Wyoming is one of 26 teams in attendance. Other teams include standout programs Missouri, Oklahoma State, North Carolina State and Stanford.
The Cowboys last competed in the dual-season opener against Iowa State, beating the Cyclones 24-14 thanks to four wins in the final five bouts. Wyoming enters the tournament ranked No. 23 in the InterMat Team Tournament rankings and 20th in the FloWrestling team rankings.
