Wyoming women's golf team sets school record in Arizona tournament

The University of Wyoming women's golf team set a program record for the lowest combined score at the Red Rocks Invitational in Cornville, Arizona, over the weekend.

The Cowgirls finished with a 54-hole total of 7-over 872 to break the previous mark of 888 set two years ago. Wyoming finished tied for seventh at Red Rocks, 19 strokes back of team champ New Mexico State.

Erin Sargent led the UW charge, shooting a 1-over 214 to finish in a tie for 10th. She was followed by Megan Knadler (6-over 219), Natrona County grad Caitlyn Skavdahl (8-over 221), Samantha Hui (9-over 222) and Kaylee Knadler (10-over 223).
