Led by Erin Sargent, the University of Wyoming women's golf team finished sixth at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Invitational on Sunday at Palm Desert, California.
Sargent tied for ninth place with a three-round total of 227, followed by Sarah Hankins (233), Megan Knadler (235), Caitlyn Skavdahl (241) and Kaylee Knadler (258).
Wyoming finished with a team score of 936, putting it 17 shots back of UTEP, which won the tournament with a 919.
The Cowgirls return to action this coming weekend at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
