Wyoming volleyball tops Nevada in straight sets

The Wyoming volleyball team won its ninth consecutive home game by defeating Nevada in straight sets on Thursday night. Kayla Slofkiss recorded her team-leading 10th double-double of the season, while freshman Reed Copeland hit a career-high 10 kills and match-high eight blocks against the Wolf Pack to help Wyoming to a 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-21) victory.

Slofkiss led the Cowgirls for the third consecutive match with 11 kills. She also scooped up 11 digs.

Allison Waldvogel led both squads with 13 digs on the evening, while Courtney Chacon had a team-high 21 assists. Cori Aafedt had 17 assists and eight digs while Bridget Shanahan and Laura Beach had eight and seven kills, respectively.
