Wyoming volleyball season ends with 3-2 loss to Utah Valley

The University of Wyoming volleyball season came to a disappointing end Thursday with a 3-2 (11-25, 28-26, 23-25, 25-22, 21-19) loss to Utah Valley in the first round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship at the UniWyo Sports Complex.

The Cowgirls (20-11) had three match points in the final set, but were unable to hold off the Wolverines. Wyoming hasn't won a postseason match since 1989.

"It was a good year," UW head coach Chad Callihan said in a release. "Personally, I don't think it should have ended the season tonight, but ultimately that falls on me.
