Wyoming volleyball extends winning streak to six

The University of Wyoming continued its recent strong play, beating New Mexico 3-1 (25-17, 25-27, 25-23, 25-18) on Thursday in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for its sixth consecutive victory.

The Cowgirls (12-9, 7-2 Mountain West) used a balanced attack to earn the win as three players had double-digit kills and three had double-digit digs.

Sophomore Tara Traphagan had a career-high 21 kills to pace Wyoming's offensive attack, with Halie McArdle adding 15 and Emily Lewis 11. Lily Austin (16), Marissa Harmon (10) and Madi Fields (10) combined for 36 digs and Harmon added 54 assists. In addition, the Cowgirls had 20 blocks led by Jackie McBride's eight.
