Wyoming track and field teams head to California

The University of Wyoming track and field teams head to California this weekend to compete in four separate meets.

The majority of the Cowboys and Cogirls will begin at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in Long Beach on Thursday and the Beach Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Other athletes will compete at the Mt. SAC Relays in Torrance and the Bryan Clay Invitational in Asuza.

UW currently has two athletes leading the Mountain West in their respective events with senior Damon Unland setting the pace in the hammer throw and junior Ja'la Henderson atop the triple jump leaderboard.
