Wyoming track and field teams fail to qualify anyone for NCAA Championships

University of Wyoming junior Jordan Charles just missed qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday.

Charles finished 13th in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.95 seconds at the NCAA West Preliminary Meet in Lawrence, Kansas. The top 12 finishers in each event qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Sophomore Garrett Lynch (Powell) was the only other UW athlete to compete Saturday, placing 40th in the discus with a throw of 160 feet, 8 inches.

That meant the Cowboys and Cowgirls failed to have a single athlete qualify for the NCAA Championships.
