The University of Wyoming track and field teams will split up this weekend to compete in meets in California and Colorado.
A group of middle-distance and distance runners will represent the Cowboys at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, California, beginning Friday. On Sunday, the majority of the UW teams will take part in the Tom Benich Invitational in Greeley, Colorado.
The California contingent features Harry Ewing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase; Paul Roberts and Christopher Henry in the 10,000-meter run; Michael Downey in the 5,000; and Ricky Faure and Bryce Ailshie in the 800.
Ewing was the Mountain West Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 3,000 steeplechase last weekend at the Fum McGraw Open in Fort Collins, Colorado.
