Led by seniors Jerayah Davis and Ja'la Henderson, 11 Wyoming track and field team athletes were invited to the NCAA West Preliminary on May 23-25 in Sacramento, California.
Davis (Kelly Walsh) enters the meet with the fourth seed in both the 100-meter dash (11.18 seconds) and the long jump (21 feet, 2.5 inches). Henderson, meanwhile, has the No. 18 mark in the triple jump (42-09) and the No. 23 mark in the long jump (20-06.5). Those two, along with Jordan Edmonds and Shayla Howell, will also compete in the 4x100 relay.
For the Cowboys, William Nolan (Cheyenne South) qualified in both the long jump and the triple jump.
