The University of Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team travels to Spokane, Washington, for a match against Gonzaga on Saturday, set to begin at 2 p.m.
Wyoming (4-4) is coming off a lopsided defeat to Nebraska and a 4-1 win over Drake last weekend. Elisa Koonik, Maria Oreshkina and Mihaela Kaftanova all picked up singles victories against Drake. Koonik and Tessa van Der Ploeg, and the team of Oreshkina and Ana Royo each also won their respective doubles matches.
Gonzaga boasts the nation's No. 1 singles player in Sophie Whittle. She is 7-1 this season against ranked players and won the ITA National Championship at the ITA All-American in the fall season.
