Lauren Hamilton finished 13th, Kerry White placed 19th and Audra DeStefano came in 23rd to lead the University of Wyoming women's cross country team to a fifth-place finish at the Mountain West Championships on Friday in Kuna, Idaho.
Megan Brunette and Kacey Doner finished within seven seconds of each other for 31st- and 37th-place finishes, respectively, also for the Cowgirls.
New Mexico, with four runners in the top 11, won the team title.
The Cowboys finished in sixth at the conference meet, led by Jonah Henry who finished in 20th. Ricky Faure and Michael Seas were 3 seconds apart from each other as Faure came in 30th and Seas finished 34th.
