Wyoming soccer team wins 4-2 at Nevada

The University of Wyoming soccer team jumped out to a 4-0 lead and held on for a 4-2 victory at Nevada on Friday.

The Cowgirls (7-4-2, 3-1-1 Mountain West) got on the board first when Taylor Burton scored off an assist from Tristan Tyrell (Cheyenne Central) in the 13th minute. Wyoming added goals from Michaela Stark in the 16th and Brittney Stark in the 20th to take a 3-0 lead into the half.

The Cowgirls extended the margin to 4-0 in the 50th minute on Alisha Bass's unassisted goal. Nevada notched goals at the 53rd- and 81st-minute marks for the final score.
