Wyoming soccer shuts out Fresno State in 3-0 win

Wyoming women’s soccer team had three players notch their first career goal in a 3-0 win over Fresno State on Sunday in Laramie.

With the win, Wyoming is now 5-2-3 on the season and 1-1 in the Mountain West.

“To have three players get their first goal of the season is something that we need,” UW soccer head coach Pete Cuadrado said. “It’s great to have that happen, it shows that it was a team win and that everyone was playing well and creating chances.”

Freshman midfielder Annika Clayton recorded the first of the afternoon for the Cowgirls with a header off a free kick from sophomore forward Shaina Ashouri in the 16th minute.
