The Wyoming women's soccer team won its second home game of the season on Sunday afternoon with a 3-1 victory over Drake.
Sophomore forward Shaina Ashouri scored two goals in the match to help give the Cowgirls their second straight victory. Freshman defender Alyssa Murray scored a header off a rebound from a corner kick in the 84th minute to score the third and final goal for the Cowgirls and helped move UW’s record to 2-0-3 on the season.
“To put three up on the board does a lot for our confidence,” Wyoming Cowgirl head soccer coach Pete Cuadrado said.
