The University of Wyoming soccer team got its first game action Sunday, with the Cowgirls playing to a scoreless draw in the annual Gold and White Game at the Indoor Practice Facility in Laramie.
Sophomore goalkeepers Riley Furbush and Hannah Lee were the stars of the day as Furbush finished with six saves and Lee four.
Sophomore Amber Vokoun had three shots on goal to lead the offensive attack and freshman Haylee Rice had two shots on goal.
“From the first day we’ve started training this was a definite step forward,” head coach Pete Cuadrado said in a release.
