Wyoming soccer falls to San Diego State at home

The Wyoming women's soccer team fell 2-1 to San Diego State on Sunday afternoon at home.

“It’s frustrating,” head coach Pete Cuadrado said. “I feel like both of their goals came from mistakes that we made. We haven’t made those mistakes all season, so it’s frustrating. We played well in the second half but you can’t play 45 minutes against the three-time conference champs and expect to win.”

San Diego State’s Angela Mitchell scored the first goal of the match in the 12th minute. Wyoming freshman midfielder Annika Clayton knocked in a header off a corner kick from sophomore forward Shaina Ashouri in the 20th minute.
