Paced by top-10 finishes from sophomore Drew McCullough and senior Kamrin Allen, the University of Wyoming men's golf team placed second at the Ping Cougar Classic in Provo, Utah, on Tuesday.
McCullough tied for fifth with a three-round score of 208 (-8) while Allen (Sheridan) tied for seventh with a 211 after posting a 68 in the final round.
As a team, UW posted a 9-under 855 to finish well behind team champ BYU (829) but four strokes ahead of third place Washington State.
Rounding out the scoring for the Cowboys were Ryan Wallen (216), Arron Lickteig (220) and Glenn Workman (232).
