Wyoming indoor track and field heads to Mountain West Championships

The University of Wyoming track and field teams will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this weekend for the Mountain West Indoor Championships.

For the Cowgirls, sprinters Jordan Edmonds and Jerayah Davis (Kelly Walsh) lead the charge. Edmonds, who was named the MW Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Wednesday, ranks third in the conference in the 200. Davis, meanwhile, ranks second in the 60-meter dash.

Ja'la Henderson currently sits atop the MW triple jump standings and is third in the long jump. And 2016 conference champ Emelda Malm-Annan is sixth in the weight throw.

For the Cowboys, freshman William Nolan (Cheyenne South) ranks second in the triple jump, senior Ricky Faure (Rock Springs) will be going for his third All-MW showing in the 800, junior Jace Marx (Big Piney) sits fifth in the 60 and freshman McCade Johnson (Laramie) is seventh in the 60 hurdles.
