Wyoming hurdler Jordan Charles has high hopes for NCAA Indoor Championships

Already Wyoming’s school record-holder in the 60-meter hurdles, Jordan Charles isn’t satisfied yet.

History is on the line this weekend when the junior from Aurora, Colorado, runs in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.

By reaching Saturday’s finals in the 60-meter hurdles, Charles would become the Cowboys’ first All-American hurdler — indoor or outdoor.

Even that wouldn’t necessarily satisfy him.

“When I step out on the track, it’s all about winning the whole damn thing,” Charles said. “There’s really no reason to just be happy to be here.”

Winning the event would certainly assure him of All-America honors.
